CAT Question of the Day
Answer the question based on the passage given below.

Migraine is common - it affects about one in four women and one in 12 men in the UK. Although there is no cure for migraine, it is often possible to prevent or lessen the severity of migraine attacks. A magnetic device can be used to treat some types of migraine, new UK guidance advises. The watchdog National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) says although there is limited evidence, transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) may help ease symptoms in some patients. It says that the procedure is still relatively new and that more data is needed about its efficacy. But it may be useful for patients for whom other treatments have failed.

Which of the following would best support the warning associated with the usage of TMS - "more data is needed about its efficacy"?

OPTIONS

 1)
There are huge numbers of sufferers in the UK and worldwide who find their lives blighted by migraine.
 2)
There are several types of migraine, with and without aura and with or without headache, and several treatment options.
 3)
In a trial among 200 patients, TMS worked as well as placebo therapy and an equal number of patients were pain-free two hours after using the device.
 4)
In a clinical trial of TMS, 80% of patients reported a decline in the frequency of migrane attack by 70% over a period of two years.
Tip of the Day
Attempting RCs is a must even for test takers who are not confident in them as more than half the verbal section consists of RC questions. Those who do not attempt RCs at all go into the exam with an obvious handicap.
Last year's Question of the day (03-Apr-13)
A cricket team of 11 players lined up in a straight line for a team photograph. The captain was asked to stand in the center of the line-up.
  1. Bharat and Bhavin stood to the right of the captain
  2. Two players stood between Bhagat and Bhairav.
  3. Seven players stood between Bhadrik and Bhanu
  4. Bhavesh stood to the right of Bhuvan
  5. Bhola and Bhumit stood either side of Bhagat
  6. Bhavik and Bhumit stood to the left of the captain
  7. Six players stood between Bhavin and Bhagat
  8. Two players stood between Bhagat and Bhavik
If P(M) is the position of the player with name M such that the leftmost person has P(A) = 1 [A is the leftmost person] and the rightmost person has P(B) = 11 [B is the rightmost person] , then which of the following is true?
OPTIONS

 1)P(Bhuvan) + P(Bharat) + P(Bhavesh) = 21
 2)P(Bhavik) + P(Bhagat) + P(Bhola) + P(Bhumit) = 19
 3)P(Bhuvan) + P(Bhairav) is a prime number and P(Bhuvan) is also a prime number
 4)P(Bhuvan) + P(Bhavin) + [2 × P(Bhavik)] = [3 × P(Bhagat)] + P(Bhairav)
