(n.) the support on which a lever turns when moving a body 2. (n.) any structure in an animal which serve as a hinge or support 3. (tr. v.) to fit a lever with a pivot or support USAGE EXAMPLE 1 : The labourer used a pole as a lever and a rock as the fulcrum to topple the oil barrel on its side so that it could be rolled into the shed.
