He finds two other prisoners there. Surprisingly both of them are kids, a boy and a girl. The spy starts looking for ways to escape. He finds a really long rope and other utilities. Its impractical to tie the rope and climb down because the walls of the tower walls are too smooth and without a foothold he is sure to fall down to certain death. After a few hours though he ingeniously designs a pulley and ties up all the heavy things he can find to form a weight of 30 kg. The length of the rope is just equal to the height of the tower. The spy weighs 80 kg while the boy weighs 45kg and the girl weighs 35kg. He can use the rope pulley system to slowly lower each person. If the difference in weights between the two sides of the rope exceeds 10 kg then the person would fall down too fast and die.
