CAT Question of the Day
Answer the question based on the passage given below.

American poet Edgar Allan Poe was inspired by Barrett Browning's poem Lady Geraldine's Courtship and specifically borrowed the poem's meter for his poem The Raven. Poe had reviewed Barrett's work in the January 1845 issue of the Broadway Journal and said that "her poetic inspiration is the highest—we can conceive of nothing more august. Her sense of Art is pure in itself." In return, she praised The Raven and Poe dedicated his 1845 collection The Raven and Other Poems to her, referring to her as "the noblest of her sex".
Her poetry greatly influenced Emily Dickinson, who admired her as a woman of achievement. Her popularity in the United States and Britain was further advanced by her stands against social injustice, including slavery in the United States, injustice toward Italian citizens by foreign rulers, and child labour.
Which of the following can be concluded about Poe and Barrett Browning's relationship from the passage?
OPTIONS

1)Poe and Barrett Browning were in love.
2)Poe and Barrett detested each other but pretended otherwise for the public.
3)Poe and Barrett admired each other's work and respected each other.

Poe admired Barrett, but Barrett didn't care much for him.
4)Poe admired Barrett, but Barrett didn't care much for him.
5)Poe and Barrett never really knew each other.
Tip of the Day
For a positive integer, n,

n! = nn - nC1(n - 1)n + nC2(n - 2)n - nC3(n - 3)n + … + (-1)n - 2 nCn - 22n + (-1)n - 1 nCn - 1
Last year's Question of the day (14-Oct-11)
One central coenzyme is adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the universal energy currency of cells. This nucleotide is used to transfer chemical energy between different chemical reactions. There is only a small amount of ATP in cells, but as it is continuously regenerated, the human body can use about its own weight in ATP per day. ATP acts as a bridge between catabolism and anabolism, with catabolic reactions generating ATP and anabolic reactions consuming it. It also serves as a carrier of phosphate groups in phosphorylation reactions.

What do we not learn about Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) from the passage?
OPTIONS

1)ATP is used in energy transactions by cells in the human body.
 2)ATP is a nucleotide.
3)Catabolic reactions use up the ATP and anabolic reactions produce it.
4)If Manju weighs 54 kilos, her body uses 108 kilos of ATP in two days.
5)In phosphorylation reactions, ATP serves as a carrier of phosphate groups.
