It's the Presidential Election day here in the U.S. of A, or as some people call it "the end of the world" (way cuter name!). So I attempted to make some good ol' American Apple Pie/Crisp/Crumble! THANK YOU TO JAIME JONES FOR THE RECIPE: Apple Filling: 3 cups apple juice (not 4 large golden delicious apples, peeled, cut 1/2 inch wedges 1 tablespoon cornstarch 1 tablespoon apple pie spice 1/4 cup white sugar 1 tablespoon vanilla Apple Crisp Topping: 1 cups all purpose flour 3/4 cup rolled oats 1/3 cup light brown sugar 1 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 1/3 teaspoon Baking Powder 2/3 cup of roughly chopped pecans 1 stick of extreemly cold butter, cut into small pieces Pinch of salt Toppings (Optional): Carmel sauce Vanilla ice cream Directions Heat oven to 350 degrees F and butter 9 inch pan.
