 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :

 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 THE post-apocalyptic seems to be all the rage with readers of novels and short stories, both highbrow and low.

 MEANING :
 1. to conceal, hide or secure snugly
2. to settle or place in a snug or comfortable manner
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 She was ensconced in a snug tweed jacket.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 Appropriately enough, Brother Claus spent much of his life ensconced in an Alpine cave in solitary reflection.

 MEANING :
 1. (n.) a meeting or congregation of members of a party within a certain legislative body held in order to select the leaders and determine strategy
2. (n.) a meeting organized in order to foster a special cause
3. (intr.v.) to take part in or hold a caucus
4. (tr.v.) to assemble in a caucus
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 A caucus was held to discuss the candidate's suitability for the post of Deputy Chief Minister.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 The difference between a caucus and the primaries that most states favour is that to take part in a caucus you have to take part in person – you have to devote a whole evening to the process.
