CAT Question of the Day
From among the options, choose the summary of the passage that is written in the same style as that of the passage.

It would be misleading to specify a strict definition of free will since there is probably no single concept of it. For the most part, what philosophers working on this issue have been hunting for, maybe not exclusively, but centrally, is a feature of agency that is necessary for persons to be morally responsible for their conduct. Different attempts to articulate the conditions for moral responsibility will yield different accounts of the sort of agency required to satisfy those conditions. What is needed, then, as a starting point, is a gentle, malleable notion that focuses upon special features of persons as agents.

OPTIONS

 1)
As free will is a necessary condition of moral responsibility, its definition ought to accommodate all the special features of various moral agents.
 2)
Since philosophers link moral responsibility to free will, we need a definition of free will that is not a rigid concept.
 3)
Philosophers working on the issue of free will need a definition that is capable of accommodating the different accounts of morality.
 4)
Any definition of free will ought to be such that it is closely related to the disparate accounts of moral responsibility from all moral agents.
Tip of the Day
While solving Jumbled Sentences, look for certain key words or phrases in sentences that may make them the first or last sentence of the paragraph. First sentence phrases include 'firstly', 'In the beginning' etc. while last sentence phrases are 'Hence', 'Thus', 'In the end' etc.
