Each container contained either blue and/or yellow marbles. There were 3 marbles in each container, and the number of blue marbles was different in each one. There was a label for each container marked with the number of blue marbles in that container, but the labels got mixed up and so no container had the correct label on it. The king told each person to take 2 marbles out of their container, then read the label, and announce the color of the third marble. Each person was able to see what every one else was doing. First, Ram took 2 blue marbles out of his container and looked at the label. He was able to tell the color of the third marble immediately. Then, Shyam took out 1 blue and 1 yellow marble from his container. After looking at the container’s label, he was also able to tell the color of his remaining marble. Next, Shiva took out 2 yellow marbles from his container. He was also able to tell the color of his remaining marble. What was the original break-up of marbles in the container given to Shiva?
