 MEANING :
 1. coercion; forcible restraint or constraint
2. (Law) forcing or compelling someone to commit a crime or commit to a legal liability
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 Under duress, the undertrial was forced to confess to a crime that he had not committed.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 Defence lawyers for a prime suspect in 1993 bombings in the Indian city of Mumbai (Bombay) say they suspect he may have confessed under duress.

 noun ]
 MEANING :
 1. a person who insists on something steadfastly
2. any confusing or complicated problem.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 The school's new principal had the reputation of being a stickler for rules and regulations.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 Cronkite was a stickler for journalistic neutrality.

 MEANING :
 1. the act or state of being an accomplice
2. a partnership for wrongdoing
3. involvement as an accomplice in wrongdoing
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 He was being charged with complicity in the murder of his friend's wife.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 Setako, 60, was acquitted of other charges of complicity to commit genocide, murder as a crime against humanity and pillage as a war crime.

 1. to lie or crawl with the body prostrate and face downward in fear, humility etc.
2. to behave in a modest or submissive way

 In ancient times, it was habitual and necessary for subjects to grovel before their king.
 USAGE EXAMPLE 2 :
 He said that the West Indies were a great team, but when they were down they tended to grovel, and he intended to make them grovel.
