Among them he had appointed one knight for his honor and integrity and four politicians for their crafty thinking. The knights only speak the truth while the politicians lie for every alternate statement. After the old king's demise his son Hector took over the crown. Hector knows that there are four politicians and one knight but since he has spent his entire life managing the cavalry and not a day in the courtroom so he cannot identify the knight. The council would only serve under a clever and intelligent ruler so they set the condition that if Hector cannot identify the knight with at the most two questions asked to any one of the people in the council, then he has to step down as the king. This would definitely be a bad start to a new rule. How can the young king determine who the knight is? If Hector is able to figure out who the Knight is, then he has to answer a numerical puzzle designed by one of the politicians. In this puzzle, there is a figure where the number written on the line connecting any two circles represents the sum of the numbers present in the two circles. If each circle has a distinct number between and including 1 and 9. Hector has to find which number will come in which circle.
