 MEANING :
 1. the offering of the bread and wine that is made to God by the clergyman in a Eucharistic service

3. the period during the Eucharistic service when offerings are collected from the worshippers
4. the offerings that are collected from devotees during such a religious service
 USAGE EXAMPLE 1 :
 The offertory was humble but greatly satisfying.
