Post split, regional parties such as the Trinamool Congress, JD(U), Biju Janata Dal, Telegu Desam and the Samajwadi Party are looking at the possibility of establishing a third front. • Ratan Tata to be chief advisor to Air Asia India, former TCS chief Ramadorai named Chairman Ratan Tata, chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, will be the chief adviser to AirAsia India, the joint venture between the Malaysian airline and the Tatas. Former TCS chief S. Ramadorai has been named the Chairman of the airline. Previously, AirAsia India had announced the name of its new CEO Mittu Chandilya. • Hassan Rowhani wins Iran's Presidential elections Moderate cleric Hassan Rowhani has achieved a landslide victory in Iran's Presidential elections, winning more than 50 percent of the vote beating five hard-liners. Rowhani's primary responsibility would be to resolve differences between the government and the citizens, ease sanctions on Iran and negotiate nuclear programmes with the West. Rowhani is believed to have a pragmatic approach and his election could bring about important changes in Iran and soften its stand on regional issues. • China builds world's fastest supercomputer China has built the world's fastest supercomputer, which is almost twice the speed of the previous record-holder from the US.
