CAT Question of the Day
Answer the following based on the question given below:
Currently, according to Rules 2 and 3 of the official Academy Awards Rules, a film must open in the previous calendar year, from midnight at the start of January 1 to midnight at the end of December 31, in Los Angeles County, California, to qualify for the Oscars(except for the Best Foreign Language Film). For example, the 2010 Best Picture winner, The Hurt Locker, was actually first released in 2008, but did not qualify for the 2009 awards as it did not play its Oscar-qualifying run in Los Angeles until mid-2009, thus qualifying for the 2010 awards.

Rule 2 states that a film must be feature-length, defined as a minimum of 40 minutes, except for short subject awards, and it must exist either on a 35 mm or 70 mm film print or in 24 frame/s or 48 frame/s progressive scan digital cinema format with native resolution not less than 1280x720.
Which of the below movies won't qualify for the 2012 Oscars?

OPTIONS

1)The Tree of Life is a Terence Malick movie that released on December 12th, 2011.
2)The Descendants released in Los Angeles County on June 13th, 2011.
3)The Artist was a French (Foreign Language) movie that released in Los Angeles County on 6th December, 2010.
4)Once was a 60-minute long movie made on 70 mm film print in 24 frames.
5)Blink was a short subject movie, and hence it wasn't 40 minutes long.
Tip of the Day
If the remainder when a polynomial f(x) is divided by binomial of the form (xa) is R, then f(a) = R. This is also called the Polynomial Remainder Theorem.

Also, if (xa) is a factor of f(x), then a will be a root of f(x). This is because, if (xa) completely divides f(x) without leaving any remainder, then R = 0, and so f(a) = 0.
Last year's Question of the day (30-Sep-11)
Muammar al-Gaddafi was raised in a bedouin tent in the desert near Sirt. According to most conventional biographies, his family belongs to a small tribe of arabized Berbers, the Qadhadhfa, who are stockherders with holdings in the Hun Oasis. As a boy, Gaddafi attended a Muslim elementary school, during which time the major events occurring in the Arab world — the Arab defeat in Palestine in 1948 to Israeli forces and Gamal Abdel Nasser's rise to power in Egypt in 1952 — profoundly influenced him. He finished his secondary school studies under a private tutor in Misrata, emphasizing the study of history.

Based on the passage, all of he following can be concluded about Muammar al-Gaddafi EXCEPT:
OPTIONS

1)That there are a lot of biographies written about him that tell more or less the same story.
2)His family belonged to a tribe of nomads – hence he was raised in Bedouin tent.
3)Muslim elementary schools existed during the time that Gaddafi was a boy.
4)Gamal Abdel Nasser's rise to power in Egypt was an important event for Gaddafi.
5)Gaddafi studied a lot of history as a child.
