CAT Question of the Day
There are two marathon runners Jack and Jill. They start running from two different places, A and B respectively, at 9 a.m. They keep running to and fro from A to B in a straight line and first cross each other at a distance of 3 km from B. At 11 a.m., they cross each other for the second time at a distance of 1 km from B. If they continue running in this manner, where will they cross each other for the 10th time? Assume that they run at a constant speed throughout.
OPTIONS

 1)2 kms from B
 2)3 kms from A
 3)1 km from A
 4)2 kms from A
 5)1 km from B
Tip of the Day
Don't judge a book by its cover and a question by how it appears at first glance. In every successive CAT, there have been easy questions camouflaged as difficult ones. Though it makes good sense to attempt the easy questions before the difficult ones as they carry the same marks, it always pays to have a closer look at the ones that seem difficult. Cracking or leaving them could make the difference between getting an IIM call or missing it.
