Akash, Biki, Chirayu, Dharmesh, and Emraan participate in each of these events. Points are awarded for each event: 1 st place in any event earns 4 points, 2 nd earns 3, 3 rd earns 2, 4 th earns 1, and 5 th earns 0. Each contestant’s score in these three events is added together to obtain that person’s total score. The contestants are given ranks based on their score such that the person with the highest overall score gets rank 1. The five participants got five different ranks.
